Ryan Licata, born in Benoni, South Africa, read Literature and Philosophy at the University of Cape Town. Later lived in northern Italy for ten years, teaching English to bambini and travelling, whenever possible. Attained an MFA in Creative Writing at Kingston University in 2013. Presently, working on an historical crime novel and a collection of short stories. This piece of flash fiction is entitled, Melon Colic.
